About Me
I'm Heather, the educator behind Heder's House. It's a tough name to say - kids usually go with the more simplified version of "Heder" which is fine by me. It's also how we came about with the name of my dayhome - "It's Heder's House," said one of my dayhome children.
With over two decades of experience in home-based child care, I believe in fostering curiosity, respect, and independence in every child. My approach combines play-based learning, meaningful routines, and warm, consistent care.
Child Care has come a long way from what it was when I first started, and I'm very proud of the changes in me, my program, and my profession.

My Childcare Philosophy
Children thrive when they feel secure, respected, and engaged. At Heder’s House, I focus on:
-
Encouraging exploration and creativity
-
Supporting emotional and social growth
-
Building meaningful routines for a calm, predictable environment
-
Connecting children to nature and the community through land-based learning
